Renowned for haute couture and her powerful designs, Zeynep Tosun showcased another outstanding collection for AW13.

Taking inspiration from the life of pirates, revolutionary women and the Victorian era; Zeynep’s collection focussed on exaggerated shoulders, asymmetric skirts, mid length dresses with detailed hem lines, flared trousers, boyfriend fit coats and extravagant Victorian-esque neck shapes.

Whilst some garments were androgynous, others were quintessentially feminine, with fabrics including embroidered leather, sheer mesh, velvet and rough silk, juxtapositioned to create a dramatic but elegant aesthetic. The colour scheme consisted of caramel, tabacco brown, mustard, black and a rich regal red. Footwear was undeniably impressive, in the shape of wooden heeled western style embroidered leather, over the knee boots.
