Leaf Xia's debut Fashion Scout show reflected her eagerness to project positive energy throughout her work. Showcasing primary-coloured geometric prints on meticulously clean cut silhouettes, her designs gave a brave and playful image. The latter half of her collection displayed her talent for architectural design, with oversized ruffles and identical round necklines adding a sophisticated edge to her youthful pieces. Leaf's spirited collection was polished with gold flecks, radiating positivity throughout the Gallery of the Freemasons' Hall.
Conceptual streetwear brand Typical Freaks debut collection celebrated their creativity through a playful hand painted pieces. With a palette of acid pastels, their signature abstract graphics were printed onto semi sheer dress, denim coats and youthful shirts with emphasised collars. Emblazoned with the slogan 'Fish and Chips' their bold, yet simple designs wouldn't of been out of place on a sunny day at Brighton beach. Highlights of the collection included a neapolitan coloured bobble cardigan and a patchwork denim coat featuring frayed edges and a boyish fit.
Sponsored by Specsavers, the Ones to Watch collection displayed a selection of fashion forward glasses to compliment the designers' collections. From contemporary streetwear to high fashion sensibility, Specsavers glasses proved that their flattering frames are a perfect accessory for SS16.
