House of MEA has been nurturing, promoting and incubating emerging and established designers from the Middle East and Asia during London Fashion Week over the last five seasons. This season, House of MEA is showcasing the following Indian and Indonesian designers: Vidhi Wadhwani, Jeny Tjahyawati, Lia Afif, Rupnidah Zarmidi, Ratu Anita Soviah, and Tuty Adib.

The designers teamed up to create a show that was rich in colours, textures, and intricate hand-sewn details with a focus on traditional Indian and Indonesian artisan skills. The fabric manipulation throughout created elegant shapes while the innovative use of traditional techniques made for a very exciting and beautiful show.

Each designer walked down the catwalk at the end of their collection putting a face to the beautifully executed garments. The show as a whole had a fairy-tale, magical feel that complimented the oriental music that played.

Modestwear was present throughout the show, demonstrating the more that the industry is taking toward inclusivity. Each designer that explored modest wear, with each representation taking a different approach to styling and creating head coverings. One designer placed intricate headpieces of silver painted branches on top of the headscarves while another sculpted hers in to beautiful and bright headpieces.
