Boo Pala's SS18 collection 'Symbols and Treasures' draws upon the designers life narrative. The aim of the show was for each design to reflect a series of motives, bringing the audience closer to her as an artist. The bright stage was covered with white sheets and has fruits, plants and vegetables placed in a still-life scene. The models wore dark glossy lipstick, with bare faces and slicked back hair which added a slightly masculine feel to the feminine collection.

In the first seven looks, we saw classic minimal shapes contrasted with bold colours, textured fabrics and fun prints. Materials used included organza, satin, and a white tasseled fabric that was used to create a stunning two-piece suit. The second series of looks came out an hour into the presentation. In this half of the show, we saw various garments in hues of red and pink. Floral embroidery could be seen on culottes, dresses, and shirts, while other details like ruffles and cushion buttons adorned the garments.

The beautiful showcase was accompanied with music provided by DJ and producer Isherwood, to create a feminine, fierce and innovative event.
