FAD is an award-winning charity that offers young people the opportunity to get ahead in their creative career. Perhaps the most personal show of the week, it received continuous applause from the audience. An awards ceremony at the end saw tears from not only the designers but also the attendees, emphasizing the important of this evening for these young designers. With looks ranging from denim jumpsuits with embroidery and raw edges, to a pink two-piece with a dip hem and red obi belt each piece stood out from the next.

The advances textiles techniques such as embroidery, distressing and ruffles, as well as the use of a multitude of fabrics showcased the talented designers and what they had learned in the FAD Fashion Futures program. The models wore red foil lip art and big hoop earrings, with French plaits and topknots.

The program gives young people hand on experience, technical training, and professional mentoring. This enables them to get their start in the fashion industry and from the looks of the garments today they have bright futures ahead.
