In October 2017, Fashion Scout's Digital Editor, Annabel Waterhouse-Biggins and photographers Rory James and Nicholas Kristiansen, traveled to Sri Lanka to participate in the first ever Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Sri Lanka. Showcasing the designs of talented Sri Lankan designers and launching the concept of travel fashion, the event was an amalgamation of artisanal craft and catwalk shows.
Samanta Bullock, an inspirational model and sports person, modelled deconstructed denim during the Swedish School of Textiles show during Fashion Scout SS18. As the fashion industry makes gradual changes toward inclusivity and body positivity, we caught up with the model to hear her unique perspective on an adapting industry, how we can pioneer the ultimately modern movement forward, why in the midst of an extensive and impressive international career, you should and can remain humble and true to your original progressive ambition.
The digital team for Fashion Scout SS18 was made up of young creatives, including photographers, graphic designers, illustrators, social media experts and writers. For many the experience exposed the team to the fast paced environment that surrounds London Fashion Week, with the excitement of catwalk shows, backstage and the press room ensuring that the entire team left feeling happy with thier new contacts.

As some of you may have heard the very sad news, our friend and fashion photographer Christopher Dadey has passed away.
Known throughout the industry as one of the best catwalk photographers, his photography helped launched a generation of talented designers including David Koma, Phoebe English, Georgia Harding, Inbar Spector, Felder Felder and many more.
His work appeared in every major fashion publication and digital space around the world: GQ, WWD, Vogue.co.uk, i-D, Wonderland, The Independent, Tatler, Spin, ELLE, Dazed, and The Guardian.
Christopher was highly respected by all of the designers and the whole team at Fashion Scout. Our deepest condolences go to his wife Rebekah Roy and his family.
A memorial will held on Wednesday 16th September.
