Designer Spotlight: E. Tautz

Founded in 1867, E.Tautz originally catered to the sporting and military elite- creating strong tailored garments, still synonymous with the brand today.

The heart of the E. Tautz brand is centred on the Saville Row persona, sharp cut lines combined with elegant shoulders and a supressed waist- consistent with the military and sporting origins of the brands aesthetic. Having been incorporated into the Saville Row tailor Norton & Sons in 1968, the company was re-branded in 2009 and lead by creative director Patrick Grant, was launched as a ready-to-wear label.

Providing men with a “uniform for a life less ordinary”- E. Tautz is lead with the ethos that careful consideration and pride in appearance is essential for every man, and produces garments to reflect this- creating a blend of schoolboy charm with elegant tailoring within their clothing.

Having been awarded the British menswear designer of the year at the British Fashion Awards in 2010- E. Tautz focuses on traditional British craftsmanship, with handmade jackets from Saville Row combined with tweed woven in the Outer Hebrides and knitwear produced by a group of Welsh grannies

E. Tautz will be showing their new collection with Vauxhall Fashion Scout on MENS Day- Wednesday 22nd February at 3pm.
