Ana Ljubinković (pronunciation Lyoubinkovich) is a Serbian womenswear designer and artist based in Belgrade, Serbia. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Belgrade, with a degree in Painting. Upon graduation, Ana Ljubinković decided to bring to life the fashion sketches she had made during the course of studies. Her first collection was presented at Belgrade Fashion Week.
The designer`s thoughtful and well–conceived play with fashion “rules” is strongly evocative of its roots in visual arts. She has always been experimental with fabrics, colours and forms and a maximalist when it comes to shapes and details.
The designer`s collections embody all the positives of kitsch: its colour, its humor, its play. Her creations were worn by the world's biggest stars such as Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga, as well as Paloma Faith, Little Mix and Clean Bandit's band, Grace Chato, and many others.
Petja Zorec is a Slovenian clothing brand for universal individuals, that fuses contradictions, resulting in surprising ready-to-wear. Since it's foundation in 2012, the brand's collections meet the demands of everyday life while bending gender specifics and pre-conceived ideas.
By combining traditional textile techniques with hi-tech materials, the garments effortlessly shift back and forth between work and play, slow and superfast, cozy and cerebral. The designer's liberating, sportswear-inspired and innovative designs can and should be worn by everyone and anyone.
In 2011 Petja Zorec was invited to take part in a group of young designer called Young@Squat which is considered as the new wave of Slovenian designers. Now she is a member of Squat design group, founded by renowned designers Nataša Peršuh and Zoran Garevski. Petja Zorec has received numerous national and international awards; OpenMyMed Prize 2017 & 2019 (Marseille), Belgrade Fashion Week Award (Fashion Scout London), Elle Style Award (SOTO), Design (Dis)ability, WOW award for Best collection (Ljubljana Fashion Week) and others.
LalicA is a Serbian fashion designer who relies on structural tailoring and abstract configurations. Under the label "LalicA", the designer has produced her clothing line since 2002. Lalić represents a continuing trend in European fashion of re-imaging and re-inventing the way consumers and industry professionals consider form, structure, fabrication, and wearability. Using natural fibers like wool and silk, the clothing was characterized by abstract designs and tailored shapes.[
Her collections always come from strong inspiration – for example “Bruno’s lecturing of the lesser” and is inspired by Ksenija Atanasijevic, the first woman with a PHD in Serbia. The micro collection “I've Been Too Fucking Busy - or Vice Versa” was created as a visual note of the subjectivation of time. The contemporary imperative: life must be interesting – it’s the roof under which work hours and free time are spoilt with choices. The Interim" is thus a space relieved of the terror of self-realization, efficiency and non-conformism.
