Malan Breton, the eponymous label directed by Taiwanese native Breton, debuts their spring/summer 17 collection. Excitement seared through the Vestibule, as the internationally established designer held the audience in suspense.

A narrative of Taiwanese heritage and modernity is woven through soft silks, and prints emblazoned across capes. Sounds of piano keys elevate the clothing, composing an aura of luxury.

Breton explains that he has taken an exciting creative direction, paralleled with a geographical alteration, as the brand moves from New York to London.

The geography of Asia has always provided inspiration for Breton, known for referencing his cultural heritage in his aesthetic. The visual story of this collection, contains eastern motifs among a multiplicity of classical, operatic silhouettes.

The show closeed with Breton taking to the runway, accompanied by an exquisite female opera singer serenading the audience.
