Ana Ljubinkovic is one of this season’s Fashion Scout Ones To Watch award winners. The serbian designer graduated from the University of Belgrade in 2002 with a degree in painting, and her visual roots have taken her on a creative journey experimenting in textiles, colour and form. Her SS17 collection is heavily inspired by the dolls in Jan Svankmajer’s short film “Jabberwocky”, George Melies “The Impossible Voyages” and Wilhelm Reiches cloudbuster machines. The product is doll-like garments with kitsch, contemporary features in sculpted, uniform silhouettes.

The extravagant pastel structures of the garments hint at couture fashion, despite the designers intentions for the clothes to be a part of the modern woman's wardrobe. This urban couture collection is a fantastic composition of sickly sweet aesthetics, daring cutouts, accentuated waists and corsets tying together creating candy coloured uniforms. The transparent Specsaver glasses added to the subtle regiment of uniform, each model sporting a candy coloured garrison hat, a soldier of fashion.
