Shopyte's Take on Sustainable Luxury
As a brand, Shopyte brings classic femininity and sustainability together. Dovilė Šopytė, is the designer behind the brand, aims to promote quality over quantity, as well as aiming to encourage women to feel in harmony with themselves. All this is expressed through luxurious natural fibre garments that are used to create simple and smart clothes for women of all ages.
For her SS20 collection, Shopyte highlighted excessive consumption and the pollution we create through deforestation. The models were wearing surgical masks and structured hats with shiny necklaces dangling from them. The masks, that we’ve seen more and more on the catwalk in the past years, remind us of pollution.
Bold and breezy tones, such as baby blue, turquoise and emerald green were used for this collection. Minimalist lines were contouring the silhouettes of models, emphasising the easiness to move in Shopyte clothes.
Shopyte aims to support ethical fashion and build a community for conscious buyers. Dovilė doesn’t focus on trends, but on creating eternal pieces that the consumer can accessorise for unlimited occasions.
