SHOW INSIGHT: JOHN HERRERA
Evening wear designer John Herrera graced the Fashion Scout Gallery with his newest collection for SS18. As a womenswear designer specialising in evening gowns and formal wear, John Herrera turned heads while showing his latest garments. His signature dark and mysterious garments are perfectly complimented by the undertones, and prints that he uses throughout his designs.
From his previous work of dark black and red feathered gowns, to his most recent feather printed gowns reflecting the face of brown birds, complete with beaded headdresses. This year for John Herrera's SS18 collection, we saw a large selection of his traditional oversized, black and red dresses, with a twist. Followed by looks made from grey printed layers of chiffon, and a beautifully tailored red coat to complete the look. As the models walked down the runway, background music of classical violins played which fit perfectly alongside a red victorian inspired ruff collar. John Herrera did not disappoint this year with his take on luxurious ball gowns, with his signature mysterious twist.
